Can Everton Jones find out how his father stole Emperor Bokassa’s diamonds and, more importantly, where he hid them; before the world and his brother get there first?

Closed for Business

I was flattered yesterday, to find that my name had come up in conversation from a fellow authonomite. He suggested I approach Alyson Books. I googled them and their submissions page looked familiar. I had submitted my book to them in March. But they have not yet replied. Is that good news? No, a bit more research and it turns out they have been in financial difficulty “for months” and, in October, a deal to buy their business fell through. In the end, Publisher’s Weekly reported that they have decided to become an e-book only outfit and will move their entire backlist onto e-books soon. They have not published any print books since autumn 2009. A query to John Scognamiglio of Kensington Books has equally gone unanswered. The LGBT publishing world is tits up at the moment. My earlier post and decision to approach Paradise Press is the only sensible option.
